BEAUTIFULLY SMALL SPACES HYGGE STYLE…

In Chapter 1: Inspiration, Sara draws inspiration from truly tiny spaces such as boats and caravans as well as her own home – a diminutive workman’s cottage in Richmond, London.

In Chapter 2: Elements of Design, she discusses how even the most straightforward planning decisions can be complicated by the constraints of small spaces and suggests clever design solutions.

The third chapter, Elements of Style, explores ideas for making compact interiors work through creative styling and decoration.

In Chapter 4, a series of case studies take a closer look at imaginative treatments for pocket-size interiors, showcasing a variety of tiny spaces including a terraced ‘two-up, two-down’ worker’s cottage, a tiny studio with a clever mezzanine that incorporates a bathroom and a pint-sized coastal hideaway.

Another of her books – Urban Pioneer: Interiors inspired by industrial design. Sara Emslie investigates the practise for transforming non-residential spaces into homes, the key elements of the look – from exposed brickwork to copper piping and metal roof trusses – and the related rise in the popularity of the industrial design. She then explores twelve inspiring and varied real-life homes that showcase the very best of the Urban Pioneer look.

I set up Crafted By B Studio after retiring from writing a blog for over 10 years on chronic pain. As a chronic pain sufferer myself I had always used art as a way to relax and take me away from my pain and stumbled upon paint by numbers by fluke. I was hooked from day one and went into custom paint by numbers as I progressed with my others. Over the past 3 years I have completed over 20 pieces and also made some of my own unique pieces. I am happy to help anyone who might like a custom picture made into a piece of beautiful art using this type of technology. I am also interested in lots of different types of crafts which I enjoy with my 4 grandchildren so my site will have lots of links and posts on mixed crafts and arts.
