ABOUT ….

Hi, I am a wife and mother of two, grandmother of four, an artist and freelance writer and blogger.

 

I thought growing old would take longer but time seems to fly by, so I don’t want to waste any of it. 

I started writing a blog in 2007 about back pain after being a sufferer for over 40 years. After four major surgeries I had to accept that pain was something I had to live with but found writing down my feelings helped me through the worst days. But, after the little ones arrived I just did not have the time required to write a blog so I sold it. 

Instead, I started back with my other favourite pastime doing some art. A friend gave me a set of paint-by-numbers. I was hooked from the start, it took me to another place away from my pain.

I then painted a custom print of a friend’s dog and have just progressed from there. I love converting a picture into a piece of art.

Since selling my blog I have painted over 20 pieces of art which you will see on this blog. Please feel free to ask me prices or questions about these pieces of art.

My other passions are card making, baking and crafts with my little ones. So this blog will cover lots of different types of arts, crafts and maybe even some baking.
