I set up Crafted By B Studio after retiring from writing a blog for over 10 years on chronic pain. As a chronic pain sufferer myself I had always used art as a way to relax and take me away from my pain and stumbled upon paint by numbers by fluke. I was hooked from day one and went into custom paint by numbers as I progressed with my others. Over the past 3 years I have completed over 20 pieces and also made some of my own unique pieces. I am happy to help anyone who might like a custom picture made into a piece of beautiful art using this type of technology. I am also interested in lots of different types of crafts which I enjoy with my 4 grandchildren so my site will have lots of links and posts on mixed crafts and arts.
MOTHERS DAY GIVEAWAY…
CREATIVE COLOURING BOOKS – WHICH ONE SHALL I BUY?..
I don’t know about you but I love a bit of colouring. I can sit quite happily helping any of my grandchildren colouring in their pictures. I keep lots and lots stored in a cupboard for them so we never run out of pictures to colour.
I rather liked this Johanna Basfords weekly illustration in this breathtaking planner, it features a striking selection of Johanna Basford’s whimsical artwork pulled from her best-selling books. Fans of Johanna Basford will recognize and appreciate her detailed, intricate, and dream-like illustrations, designed to transport users to other-worldly locations and unlock fantastic adventures. Of course, the best thing about buying this now is that we are already in March so the price has dropped from when it was advertised at the end of last year from £15.99 to £9.68!
For the children these two books were my favourite and my grandchildren. They all love unicorns so this Fantasy Colouring Book is a must. Relax into the creative world of colouring ready to take you to a world filled with magical adventures. Containing a beautiful and diverse collection of illustrations, this fantastic book will allow the artist within you to shine!
This edition contains a selection of fantasy artworks for you to complete in your chosen colour scheme. You can make your finished artworks as simple or as complex as you like – however you choose to colour, you’ll be thrilled with the results. It contains 60 artworks to colour. Priced at £6.99
With Easter around the corner I think this Disney Easter Colouring Book with Over 80 springtime images to colour is brilliant value for money, reduced from £11 to £5.70 as it is sure to keep the little ones occupied. Colour your way through spring and help your favourite Disney characters celebrate Easter! Get creative as you colour in this cute collection of springtime illustrations featuring your favourite Disney friends including Disney Princesses, Stitch, Winnie the Pooh and many more!
With intricate patterns, characters hunting for Easter eggs and floral scenes, this charming colouring book will entertain fans for hours. Includes artwork featuring characters from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Tangled, Encanto, Zootropolis, Frozen, Moana, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog and Disney Pixar’s Toy Story, Up, and Monsters Inc.
Finally, I came across another adult Creative Colouring Book which was a little bit different from the normal ones as it has 12 modules to help you enjoy the art of colouring books. It turns it into a real creative way to paint or colour your books in style.

A NEW HOBBY FOR SPRING…
Do you fancy trying a new hobby this spring? The number of people taking up a new hobby over the last few years has tripled. They can cost a bit or nothing at all it just depends on your choice of hobby.
Here are some of the most popular ones this year…
1. Reading – Many people like curling up with a good book in front of a fire on a winter’s night. Reading is affordable (or free) and allows individuals to discover new and intriguing worlds. It’s a universal pastime that’s loved by people worldwide. I joined a local book group, which has got me back into reading lots more.
2. Music & Singing – Music, they say, is the language of love. Singing in choirs is now suitable for everyone and is even suggested as a complementary therapy to help manage chronic pain.
3. Cooking has been popular for a long time, but now, with access to many more gift vouchers for cooking experiences, it has grown into a massive business. There are also lots and lots of online cooking courses, which means you do not even need to leave your home.
4. Walking is a perfect joint-friendly alternative to running which burns calories and improves your cardiovascular health. The best part is that you don’t need a designated place for it – just get out of your home and start walking or you could join a local walking group.
5. Creativity is universal, and so is the art of crafting. There are many avenues crafters can take, from knitting and crocheting to paper crafts and beading. The internet has opened up a whole new world to craft enthusiasts everywhere; if supplies can’t be found locally, they can easily be found online. Craft websites and message boards offer inspiration when creativity is running low. Crochet (up 162% in searches), needlepoint, sewing, pottery/ceramics, and DIY upcycling [2, 5Etsy].
6. Bird Watching has become another very popular hobby which draws people young and old, making it an excellent intergenerational activity. Being outside in the wilderness is also incredibly positive for your mental state, so bird-watching can have a very positive impact on you in many ways.
7. Art -Art is a totally relaxing therapy and can again be done at home with lots of free online videos and tutorials, or you could join a local art group. Most villages have an art group.
8. Mindfulness – Activities like gardening, colouring, and painting are chosen for stress relief and mental breaks.
