7 WAYS TO HYGGE DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN WITH PICTURES…

While we are in lockdown due to Covid-19 we can still practice our Hygge by going through all our photo albums and putting them in unique picture frames for the home. Here are some great examples for you.

Check out this amazing Moments Frame which holds a brilliant 52 pictures.

Or these tabletop frames from Restored Hardware.

This image from Famebridge includes a tutorial on Postcard Picture Framing.

Of course, if you haven’t any pictures but have some old frames you can always pop plants in them like the example above.

Or you could make your own print and pop in a frame like this one from Honeymoon Hotel.

In this beautiful vintage and modern home, pictures have just been stuck to the wall for a great effect.

This is my absolute favourite and so easy to do while stuck at home from Life Mama.

HOW TO CREATE A COSY HYGGE PANTRY…

Yesterday I decided to clean my pantry and go through all my groceries. While still in isolation and lock down during this COVID-19 pandemic certain foods have been difficult to get so it was great to find so flour to bake with which seems to be in short supply.

I got some great ideas on how I wanted the finished pantry look from the images below. My pantry isn’t as big as these beauties but the effect is just the same and I felt amazing after sorting it all out.

TRY TO RELAX HYGGE STYLE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC…

If you haven’t heard all about HYGGE then I would be extremely surprised but basically the word ‘Hygge‘originates from a Norweign word meaning ‘well-being‘. For almost five hundred years, Denmark and Norway were one kingdom, until Denmark lost Norway in 1814. ‘Hygge‘ appeared in written Danish for the first time in the early 1800’s, and the link between hygge and well being or happiness maybe no coincidence. Danes are the happiest people in Europe according to the European Social Survey and found in The Little Book of Hygge, The Danish Way to Live Well‘, by Meik Wiking.

Check out these images to help inspire you to create a HYGGE home.
