30 DAYS WILD ANNUAL CHALLENGE 1st – 30th JUNE, 2021…

The UK’s popular nature extravaganza is back this June. The 30 Days Wild annual challenge invites participants to commit a ‘random act of wildness’ every day through the month of June. Activities include listening to birdsong, taking photographs of wildlife and planting seeds.

This year The Wildlife Trusts is asking those taking part to kick-start their challenge with a Big Wild Breakfast outdoors on June 1st to see how much wildlife you can spot in 30 minutes!!!

It’s easy to register and receive resources for home, school and work at wildlifetrusts.org/30DaysWild. When you sign up, you’ll get a free pack of goodies to help you plan your wild month, plus lots of ideas to inspire you to stay wild all throughout June (and beyond!).

Let’s look at some changes you can make to be more eco-friendly at home. These seemingly small suggestions can have big results.

5 small ways to be more eco-friendly at home

A GREENER AND ECO-FRIENDLY LIFESTYLE…

Whichever way you look at it Greta Thunberg has introduced us all into a greener, eco-friendly lifestyle, but with the seriousness of how the climate crisis is at the moment, we cannot ignore it.

Now the general public are becoming more and more aware and more partial to eco-friendly products, its only natural that companies have to work towards that way.

Of course, it is not just in the UK, countries like Germany have the highest rates of recycling in the world.

Fashion designers are now looking to diversify into more eco-friendly materials. There is so much to think about from food waste, renewable electricity, mobility and consumer electronics and much more. Lots of companies are starting to label themselves “eco-friendly”, but it’s knowing if they are “truly”, “eco-friendly”. Even McDonald’s has pledged to make all of its packaging environmentally sustainable by 2025.

On the website Conserve Future Energy Be Green. Stay Green, they list over 20 good reasons to go green to save our mother earth which includes, increasing the value of your home, improving your health and air quality, slowing down climate change to helping your local economy.

Over the last year here on Images of a Hygge Lifestyle I have written a number of post on eco-friendly products including “Going Greener the Hygge Way“, “Great Eco Swaps for a Greener Life“, “5 Ways to Reduce Plastic”, ” 8 Ways to go Eco at Christmas”,Three Great Eco Products to Change To“, “Enjoy your coffee the Eco-Friendly Way“, and most recently my “3 Favourite sites for sustainable Lifestyle Products” and “Cosy of with my choice of 3 of the best Eco-Friendly Candles”.

Most of the above have had many views so my plan is to move this blogImages of a Hygge Lifestyle” to include a lot more on “A Greener and more Eco-Friendly Lifestyle “. I will start covering more companies in the UK who are doing well with genuine eco-friendly and ethical products. So, if you are a new up and coming or already established company working towards a greener and eco-friendly lifestyle then I would love to hear from you.
