A LITTLE BIT OF BLUE FOR THE LOO…

We have just had our downstairs loo papered in a lovely blue from the company we used for our landing. Photowall has the most amazing choice of wallpaper and in my little new home, I decided my accent colour for downstairs was going to be blue.

As with all new homes, it is a blank canvas to start with and because it is only small I decided I didn’t want to add colours but instead to just pop a lovely wallpaper on a few walls.

The one I chose for the downstairs toilet is Chinoiserie Whimsy Garden Blue. Our decorator Oliver Simon Kay of Bluesky Decorating who designs his own murals was really impressed with Photowall wallpaper which comes marked and ready to hang with paste included in the packet.

If you didn’t see my post which showed the Photowall landing wallpaper then head to this link and take a look as it is yet another super print.

NATURAL INGREDIENTS CANDLES, SKINCARE AND HOMEWARES…

I came across this wonderful site called ‘Our Lovely Goods‘, A family run business which came about when they started making body butter for their baby daughter in 2018 before branching out into soy-based candles to make their home feel snug. They enjoyed it so much that they launches Our Lovely Goods’, the following year.

They are passionate about creating products that are good for you, your home and the environment – whilst being beautifully designed too. They also have a curated collection of Raffia Placemats, Coasters, Bowls and more, handwoven by talented artisans in Nigeria.

They handcraft natural wax candles, botanical skincare and work with talented artisans in Nigeria to curate our collection of homewares. They are also passionate about promoting well being and exploring creativity through workshops and events.

Some of their beautiful candles include Green Tea Jasmine & Amber at £20

and Coconut Vanilla & Lime at £20

They have a few body butter’s – Lavender and Chamomile Body Butter £19 all of which will look lovely in your bathroom with the candles.

They explain what the difference is between a body butter and a body lotion – Body butters are rich and luxurious products, they have a thicker texture than a conventional lotion because they have a higher viscosity, therefor…READ MORE

5 GREAT REASONS TO BUY FAIR TRADE COFFEE…

1.When you choose Fairtrade coffee, not only can farmers build a better quality of life for their families and communities, they can invest in growing better quality beans too.

2. Fairtrade coffee farmers invest at least 25 percent of their Fairtrade premium in improving productivity and quality.

3, Choose Fairtrade coffee and you’re also supporting farmers to fight the challenges they may face. These include the effects of a changing climate, low and unpredictable incomes and in some coffee-growing communities, there may not be enough food available for three to four months a year.

4. Being part of Fairtrade has meant better knowledge about protecting the local environment and the chance to plant other crops and buy livestock to put more food on the table.

5. Around 125 million people worldwide depend on coffee for their livelihoods. Coffee is the most valuable and widely traded tropical agricultural product and 25 million smallholder farmers produce 80% of the world’s coffee. But many of them fail to earn a reliable living from coffee.
