How amazing does this garden room look from Garden Rooms by Creative? For the ultimate outdoor space with cosy sitting area, these are the dream! Forget the “man-cave” or “she-shed” and build the ultimate dream room for lounging.

This gorgeous picture from Ideal Home is enough to inspire all of us to get planting in our garden.

I particularly liked this image as the colours that pop out make it look cosy and green without too much effort in needing more plants.
This has to be one of my favourite outdoor image. The abundance of plants and flowers in such a small space is amazing, and one I would love to copy in my garden.
Another stunning image of a tiny space overflowing with greenery. I’m sure the minute you sat down in the relaxing chair you would soon be in the land of nod.
This final image of this slate from Lilybels just epitomises summer time to me and would look perfect in any garden.

6 TYPES OF BEAUTIFUL DRIED FLOWERS FOR A HYGGE HOME…

Dried and pressed flowers are the in thing at the moment and come in a large selection of flowers to choose from. Here are six of my favourites.

The beautuful dried Ivory Phalaris which you can also get in Pastel Blue, Pastel Green, and Purple, all £10.50 a bunch from Homewood & Rose.

Commonly known as Canary Grass, Phalaris Canariensis is a large coarse grass with hairless stems and oval flower heads.

My other favourite is Lavender, I have it in drops in a bottle of water to spray onto my ironing. I put drops in my diffuser. I love it in the bath with a bath bomb and they look amazing dried and last a long time.

A great place to buy Lavender from is direct from a Lavender Farm. Lavender World have dried Lavender Bunches from £7.95 and you can buy the oil from them at the same time.

Finally Roses, I mean there is nothing to not like about a Rose. They are by far my favourite in drops for my diffuser and this stunning bunch on Etsy would look lovely in any home for £9.91

BOOK REVIEW – KINFOLK HOME by NATHAN WILLIAMS…

Kinfolk Home by Nathan Williams. Although not a new book (2015) I couldn’t stop looking through this book with Kinfolk’s focus on slowing down and creating a more intentional, beautiful home where they say the attention is shifting.

Through luscious photographs and insightful interviews, the author takes us into 40 homes around the world, from the Americas to Europe, Asia to Africa, ending in Australia. The homes range from an old cabin in the woods to clean-lined modern apartments, from singles living in small spaces to sprawling, multi-generational houses in the country. Each will feel unmistakably Kinfolk.

Nathan Williams is the author of The Eye, The Kinfolk Entrepreneur, The Kinfolk Home, and The Kinfolk Table and the editor in chief of Kinfolk, a lifestyle magazine published quarterly by Ouur studio. Founded in 2011, Kinfolk maintains a vibrant contributor base from Copenhagen to Cape Town and hosts hundreds of global events each year that bring the community together.

A book you can delve into at any time and well worth keeping out on your table. Available from Amazon and other good bookshops.
