With vintage maps popping up in all the home magazines, I couldn’t help but have a go at using an old map to cover an old cork board to put on the wall in my new study.
I then decided to make sure it stayed in place by changing it to look more like a pin board using old string and pins.
There are so many things you can make out of old maps. Some of my favourite sites include http://www.notonthehighstreet.com which has a number of different types of gifts using old maps including Vintage map initials, from Bombus.
John Lewis has a fabulous World Map Cushion and a perfect Christmas gift for that time traveller has to be this antique-effect World Map Clock from Littlewoods.
You can even get world map wallpaper for that tiny space you want to cover. Great for a downstairs loo for something to look at while resting for a while :):)
