‘Cloth’ Magazine have an article about Boat People Boutique,which I thought I’d share with you. The Boat People Boutique have a brilliant blog that is packed full of fashionable tutorials and quick fix videos to help you upcycle your new wardrobe.
Check out their style diary for lots of ‘how to’s’, like DIY embellished sun glasses. There are so many ideas I’ve made a long list of ones I want to try.

The Crafters’ Barn is a brand new website offering you the opportunity to browse and buy a wide range of UK handmade items, by bringing together a unique collection of individual artisan sellers. It was started in October 2011 by Noo’s Knits as a way of offering a retail site for craft sellers at a minimum price. The idea being to build a community, not take your profits!
They don’t charge their sellers a commission (unlike almost every other site!) so you can be sure that the price you pay goes direct to the maker. Their fee structure is simple they charge £2.30 per month (which comes out at £2 to us after paypal fees) for unlimited listings. There are no further charges other than those taken by Paypal on your sales. There is no obligation to list every month and no minimum contract or anything like that. Just £2.30 for every month that you do decide to list.
Its a new site so you should keep popping back to see what’s new but I’m going to give it a go with my hand made cards.
I know its only August but before you know where you are it will be Christmas (sorry) and so with that in mind I have been researching where you can sell your hand made and vintage inspired goods. I will do separate posts for each company. First off is ‘My Own Creation’.
This site covers everything to do with handmade items you could sell. It appears on Facebook Twitter Pinterest and RSS.
It has a handmade news page for hand makers to add their articles about their crafts which is published on the website and on twitter and Facebook etc.
It also runs a free Craft Fair Diary Service sent through the above social networking sites.
You can list for 10p a month with no commission and engage with over 1279 crafters online at any given time.
