5 WAYS TO CREATE SPRING HYGGE IN YOUR HOME…

It’s that time of year when we have warmer, longer lighter days. As we all know Hygge represents cosiness, comfort and happiness. Well, with a few tweaks here and there we can soon create Spring Hygge to our homes. Here are 5 ways to instantly create Spring Hygge to your homes.

  1. Spring Clean – this is something that can instantly make you feel better inside and out. Check out this post I have written on another blog on 10 Old Fashioned Household Cleaning Tips.
  2. Open those curtains, blinds and windows and replace with lighter fabrics to let as much light in as possible. We’re so conditioned to think Hygge is synonymous with winter, but that’s not the case. While there's an obvious correlation between the two, many elements of Hygge living can be carried into spring! I want to make sure my Hygge living transcends seasons & in addition to actual lifestyle h
  3. Change your flowers/plants in the home. Add some Spring colours to your rooms.
  4. Change your candles to white to create a more summer atmosphere.
  5. Create your outdoor space into another indoor space so you can spend as much time outside as inside by adding your candles, rugs and blankets.

HOW TO CREATE A COSY HYGGE PANTRY…

Yesterday I decided to clean my pantry and go through all my groceries. While still in isolation and lock down during this COVID-19 pandemic certain foods have been difficult to get so it was great to find so flour to bake with which seems to be in short supply.

I got some great ideas on how I wanted the finished pantry look from the images below. My pantry isn’t as big as these beauties but the effect is just the same and I felt amazing after sorting it all out.
