The Crafters’ Barn is a brand new website offering you the opportunity to browse and buy a wide range of UK handmade items, by bringing together a unique collection of individual artisan sellers. It was started in October 2011 by Noo’s Knits as a way of offering a retail site for craft sellers at a minimum price. The idea being to build a community, not take your profits!
They don’t charge their sellers a commission (unlike almost every other site!) so you can be sure that the price you pay goes direct to the maker. Their fee structure is simple they charge £2.30 per month (which comes out at £2 to us after paypal fees) for unlimited listings. There are no further charges other than those taken by Paypal on your sales. There is no obligation to list every month and no minimum contract or anything like that. Just £2.30 for every month that you do decide to list.
Its a new site so you should keep popping back to see what’s new but I’m going to give it a go with my hand made cards.
